Volunteer

Connect with one of our member organizations:

Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services: Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services helps older people and people living with disabilities remain safe and independent in their own homes by providing a wide range of supportive services, as well as information and advice.  With 11 volunteer programs, there are many ways to help. The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is a partnership with the Greater Boston Food Bank, providing low-income older adults with free groceries. Delivery volunteers are especially needed to drive and deliver 30-lb. boxes of staple foods, plus some fresh add-ins! Delivery routes take about 2.5 hours. Volunteers are needed the morning of the first Tuesday of each month at the Center for Arts at the Armory in Somerville. An application CORI check, and COVID-19 vaccination are required. Please reach out to lindsey.smilack@eldercare.org for more information.

Daily Table: Daily Table is a nonprofit grocery chain and volunteers are an integral part of the family. Volunteers can help sort produce, label and package foods, cook, and stock and organize shelves. Volunteering with Daily Table can be a one-time or ongoing commitment. Please reach out of to cgrant@dailytable.org for more information.

Mutual Aid of Medford and Somerville (MAMAS): MAMAS is an entirely volunteer-driven organization. To help shop, deliver, or donate groceries to your neighbors reach out to askyourmamas@gmail.com for more information.
