Farmers’ Markets

If you have SNAP, Massachusetts automatically gives you an EXTRA $40-80 to spend on fruits and vegetables from farmers markets and farm stands through the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP)

Somerville offers a SNAP match of up to $15/week at the Davis, Union, and Winter farmers markets. For every dollar of SNAP you spend, you get an EXTRA dollar, e.g. if you spend $8, you can purchase $16 of food.
